Karla McDay, MSW, LISW-S is a housing strategist and social work leader specializing in supportive and affordable housing for transition-aged youth. As Founder and Executive Director of Harmony House, she has developed innovative, community-based housing models that promote stability, dignity, and opportunity for marginalized young adults.
In her parallel role as Clinical Director at Kindred Spirit Behavioral Health, Ms. McDay leads culturally responsive care initiatives integrating Optimal Conceptual Theory and Belief Systems Analysis to strengthen outcomes for marginalized populations.
A respected trainer and national presenter, she has shared her expertise on housing equity and culturally specific interventions at major platforms, including the Association of Black Psychologists Conventions in 2019 and 2022. Ms. McDay’s dual expertise in behavioral health and housing positions her as a leading voice in creating sustainable, human-centered systems that transform youth and communities.
